Reciprocating Grate

This hydraulically driven air cooled moving grate is a stepped grate design which consists of stationary and moving rows of cast alloy grate bars. The moving rows of grate bars convey the fuel forward and agitate the fuels simultaneously through the furnace chamber. Burned out residues are discharged continuously from the furnace by the built in submerged ash conveyor.

Vibrating Grate

The vibrating action of this type of water cooled firing grate is created by the rotation of an eccentric shaft moves the whole fuel bed down towards the rear of the grate. The vibrating causes the bed material to be leveled and together with the air draft dislodges the ash particles from the live fuel. Larger sized ash will discharge to the wet ash conveyor located at the rear of the grate.
